Matzoh Crack: It's Great All Year Long

Matzoh Crack

Do you know why this confection is called "crack?" It's because it is downright addictive. It is, essentially, a crispy toffee-covered chocolate treat, so if you like those flavors, you should give this a try. If not Passover time, it can be enjoyed year-round and I hear it's also great if you replace the matzo with saltines. And, now that I'm thinking about it, graham crackers would make a pretty delectable replacement for the matzo, too, I suspect.

I make this each year for Passover (along with my flourless chocolate cake and other goodies) and keep whatever is not consumed at Seder in a freezer bag to grab for a quick snack until it is all gone. It lasts well in the freezer and is delicious frozen or thawed. It also makes a great edible gift should you be looking for something easy and delicious to give to someone or bring to a Seder.

While it is easy to make and has few ingredients, just be sure you plan to have space in your fridge or freezer before you start as it needs to chill for a bit... (I've done a lot of tetris reorganizing on the fly in my fridge when making this recipe, which is a little stressful -- so plan ahead.)

Enjoy!
